SCOTLAND ANNOUNCED LAST week that it is introducing a deposit return scheme for bottles and cans.
This means that customers will pay a small surcharge when they buy bottles or cans, which will be refunded if/when they return them to a shop.
The aim of the scheme is to increase recycling and cut down on littering.
Ireland isn’t looking to follow in Scotland’s footsteps just yet, but what do you think of it?
Would you pay a surcharge when buying bottles if it meant you could get it back later?
