Man arrested by detectives investigating Moffett murder

Bobby Moffett was a leading loyalist who it is believed was murdered by the UVF.

A MAN HAS been arrested by police investigating the murder of Bobby Moffett.

The man was arrested by PSNI detectives in west Belfast this morning.

He was brought to Antrim police station and is said to be helping the police with their enquiries.

He is 41 years old.

A 55-year-old man was also arrested and questioned on 30 July this year in connection with the murder.

Bobby Moffett was a leading loyalist in Northern Ireland and was shot dead on the Shankill Road on 28 May 2010.

An independent report released in September of last year said that the UVF sanctioned the murder of Moffett, who was involved in the Red Hand Commando movement, a paramilitary loyalist group linked to the UVF.
