Man arrested over 1998 bombing of Moira police station

The attack injured a number of civilians.

A 47-YEAR-OLD MAN has been arrested in connection with a car bomb attack on a police station in Northern Ireland.

The attack took place in 1998 at Moira police station, Co Down.

The explosive device caused extensive damage to both the station and surrounding properties.

A number of civilians were injured in the incident.

The man was arrested by the PSNI this morning and is being questioned at Antrim police station.
