Motorcyclist (40s) dies following collision with truck in Co Kerry

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

A MAN HAS died following a collision between a motorbike and a truck in north Kerry this morning.

The collision occurred on the N69 between Tarbert and Listowel at around 10am.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí, along with units from the Listowel Fire Service and the National Ambulance Service, attended the scene of the collision.

The stretch of the N69 into Tarbert from the Listowel side remains closed, with local diversions in place.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area, which is expected to remain closed for several hours.

“Investigations are ongoing,” a garda spokesperson said.
