Man (60s) dies in single-vehicle collision in Co Wexford

The incident occurred at approximately 1:10pm near New Ross.

A MAN IN his 60s has died after a single-vehicle collision in Co Wexford this afternoon.

The man was the driver of the car. No other injuries were reported.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:10pm on the L4007 at Maudlin’s Cross, near New Ross.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the incident and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was brought to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem exam will take place in due course, gardaí said.

The road was closed for technical examination by investigators but has since reopened.

Gardaí have asked any road users who may have footage of the incident or the road between the hours of 12:30pm and 1:30pm today to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
