Man fatally stabbed in Derry

A 31-year-old man has been arrested following the death of a man in the Gobnascale area of Derry today.

POLICE IN DERRY have launched an investigation following the fatal stabbing of a man in the city in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 56-year-old victim was killed at Hollymount Park in the Gobnascale area of Derry, the BBC reports. A woman also suffered minor injuries during the incident.

The PSNI has arrested a 31-year-old male in connection with in the incident, and have appealed for anyone with information to contact them, RTÉ reports.
