Funeral of Martha Nolan O'Slatarra to take place in her native Carlow

Ms Nolan, aged 33, died in Montauk in New York’s Hamptons on 5 August.

THE FUNERAL MASS of Carlow woman Martha Nolan O’Slatarra is to take place on Wednesday. 

Ms Nolan, aged 33, died in Montauk in New York’s Hamptons on 5 August. She was found unconscious on a boat at Montauk Yacht Club, where passersby attempted to revive her. 

Emergency services pronounced her dead at the scene in the early hours of the morning. 

Ms Nolan was a successful fashion designer and businesswoman who had been living in the US for a number of years. 

Ms Nolan’s remains have been repatriated to Ireland, and her funeral mass will take place on Wednesday at 10am in The Cathedral of the Assumption in Co Carlow. 

Her family have requested family flowers only, and said that if one wishes to make a donation to do so to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust in memory of Ms Nolan.

Her funeral notice said that she is the “beloved daughter of Elma, much loved sister of Jacqui, treasured granddaughter of Betty and Liam, cherished niece of John, Michelle, Barry and Mona and adored partner of Nick.”

She will be remembered by her immediate and extended family, as well as her “large circle of friends in Ireland and the US”.
