THE WILD WEATHER that has affected Ireland in the last week has led to seas swelling and some spot flooding.
But in Clontarf, something other than seaweed was washed ashore.
Mark McGowan and his wife Clare were enjoying a stroll along the waterfront when they came across this message in a bottle among rubbish that had washed up over the weekend.
Mark says:
“My wife Clare spotted the bottle amongst the hundreds that had been washed up on the promenade on Friday, so we decided to take a picture of it where we found it and then of the letter too.”
The bottle contained a letter, written by two people who outlined their plans for 2011.
