A crying child briefly stole the spotlight at yesterday’s Cincinnati Open – enough for tennis player Emma Raducanu to ask that they be removed from the stadium.

During Raducanu’s match against Aryna Sabalenka, she stopped and brought the disturbance to the chair umpire’s attention, saying: “It’s been, like, 10 minutes.”

“It’s a child, do you want me to send the child out of the stadium?” the umpire asked, to which Raducanu shrugged and pointed toward the crowd – who were chanting for the child to be removed.

So in today’s poll we wanted to know: Is it fair to ask crying children to leave an event?
