IT’S 67 YEARS since the end of World War II and Russia has been marking it today with a display of its military force.

Thousands of soldiers have marched through Moscow’s Red Square as part of Russia’s annual Victory Day parade to commemorate the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War, as WWII is known in Russia.

Newly re-elected president Vladimir Putin and prime minister Dmitry Medvedev watched as tanks, missile launchers, and thousands of soldiers paraded outside the Kremlin. Here’s how it looked:
