Gardaí warn people not to play Pokémon Go while driving
Put down the phone.

GARDAÍ HAVE WARNED people to not use their mobile phones while driving.

This is not a new warning, but one they’re reiterating due to the popularity of Pokémon Go.

Gardaí have taken to Twitter to remind people to stay safe while driving.

Last week, AA Ireland and others appealed to drivers to not play the game while behind the wheel.

The app needs to be open in order for the user to be alerted to the presence of pocket monsters so they can catch them.

A number of accidents have happened in various countries due to people being distracted by it.
