WITH THE SUN OUT and your kids laughing and running around a beautiful park, nothing can go wrong, right? Until suddenly – squelch.
Earlier this week on TheJournal.ie, Labour Party representative Eric Nolan drew attention to a very outdoor-specific problem: the high instance of excrement that ends up on shoes when he takes his family our walking.
Citing the fact that only four dog fouling fines have been issued by Cork County Council in the last twenty years, he suggested that something must be done to make our outdoor spaces clean and healthy for all of the family.
Of course, not every family out there makes use of their local green space, particularly in winter weather – regardless of the amount of ‘excrement’ that might be present.
So tell us: Do you visit your local park with your kids?
