IF YOU’RE A first-time buyer hoping to own a home, it’s likely that you’re looking at properties on the market which are eligible for the Help to Buy scheme.
The incentive, which is currently due to expire at the end of 2019, helps those joining the property market to gather a deposit through a refund of income tax or Deposit Interest Retention Tax. There are some conditions: the property which you’re hoping to buy must be newly built, or never used as a residential home.
Read on to see a selection of houses which qualify under the Help to Buy scheme right now…
Part of the new MillQuarter development, this four-bedroom detached home is ideally suited to family living. With a spacious living room and open-plan kitchen and dining area on the ground floor, residents will never be short of places to relax or entertain. Large windows throughout the property maximise the use of natural light, while a balcony extending from the master bedroom makes for the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings.
All houses in the development are A-rated for energy efficiency, with a high level of insulation in the walls, floors and attic space. MillQuarter is located adjacent to Gorey Town Centre, while a play area and sports pitch in the development is sure to keep younger members of the family entertained.
Located within a short walk of Trim town, just five detached properties remain available at The Gallops. The four-bedroom properties are tucked away in a cul-de-sac and feature south-west facing rear gardens as well as Kube-designed kitchens, high quality integrated kitchen appliances and fitted sliderobes in the bedrooms.
Living and dining areas in the property are spacious and light-filled, while there’s plenty of parking (and playing) space in the front gardens. Trim town boasts a multitude of sporting facilities, with several primary and secondary schools in close proximity to the development. A spacious living area is to the front of the property, while the kitchen and dining area overlooks the back garden.
Just a five minute drive from the property is Dundalk town centre, from which a commuter rail service runs to the heart of the capital. For families, there are several primary and secondary schools within walking distance of the property, while Dundalk Institute of Technology is a 10 minute drive away.
It’s on the market for €205,000.
