4 of a Kind: Houses with handy electric car charging ports

Make your electric car feel right at home.

ELECTRIC CARS ARE sky rocketing in popularity as we all become more eco-conscious and aware of what we could be doing better on the daily in terms of going green. If you’re a house-hunter who has recently invested in a new car, we’ve found four homes across the country that have charging points ready to go.

That’s one less thing to tick off your to-do list once you move in.

Claregalway, Co Galway – €595,000

9 Gleann Mhuiris is a 214 m² home with ample off-street parking and an electric car charging port. Inside, you’re greeted by a bright, spacious hallway. To the right, there’s an office space and to the left is the first of two living areas. The second is accessed through partially glazed double doors and is home to a marble fireplace and a wood-burning stove. The kitchen and dining space has vaulted ceilings, modern units and an island. Double glazed French doors lead to the back garden. A toilet and a utility room complete the ground floor.

The first floor has four spacious bedrooms along with a modern family bathroom. The attic is fully converted and has a bedroom with a bathroom. Gleann Mhuiris enjoys an ideal location on the Claregalway to Oranmore Road, with nearby access to the M6 Galway-Dublin motorway. Supermarkets, shops, a church, a primary school, and Coláiste Bhaile Chláir are all within walking distance.
