THE RUN IN The Dark 5k and 10k races in aid of spinal cord injuries took place in in a number of Irish cities this evening.
The Life Style Sports sponsored events took place simultaneously in Dublin, Cork, Belfast, London and Manchester with some unofficial other towns like Wexford.
Events in cities including Sydney, New York, Washington DC and Frankfurt have all happened or are due to happen at 7.30pm local time.
The races are the brainchild of blind adventure athlete Mark Pollock whose trust is trying to find a cure for spinal cord injuries.
The Dublin runners had a chilly night for their run and there was a touch of rain.
