Scramblers and e-scooters seized in operation targeting vehicles suspected of facilitating drug dealing

Over 20 locations were searched by gardaí this morning.

GARDAÍ TODAY SEIZED some 29 vehicles suspected of being used to facilitate on-street drug dealing.

As part of ongoing investigations targeting on-street drug dealing in Dublin’s North Inner City, gardaí this morning conducted a search operation at 21 locations.

Gardaí were especially targeting e-scooters, e-bikes and scrambler motorbikes.

A garda spokesperson said this morning’s operation was also aimed at combating drug-related intimidation and further organised crime activity associated with these networks.

Today’s searches resulted in the seizure of 18 e-scooters, five mini scramblers, five e-bikes, and one motorbike.

Gardaí also seized various drugs worth around €55,000, as well as €10,740 in cash.

One person was arrested on foot of an outstanding bench warrant and a garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
