IF A HOUSE beside the sea is a non-negotiable for you, no doubt you’ve toyed with the idea of laying down roots in many of the towns and villages along the south east.
From a seven-bed bungalow in Tramore to a home with a home gym and games room in Cheekpoint, this week, we’re seeing what’s on offer in Co Waterford.
This five-bed home by the River Suir sits close to the new marina at Cheekpoint. The rooms inside comprise a large living room that leads to a patio overlooking the harbour. Three double bedrooms and a main bathroom join the kitchen and utility room on the same floor. Upstairs is home to a large double bedroom, a bathroom and a study along with a lounge.
This is a large house that spans 276 m² and and has a garage to the front and an attic for extra room or storage. For keen gardeners, there are a number of planted beds and potted plants to maintain. Waterford city is about 12 km away.
St. Anne’s is a very large seven-bed home that dates to the 1930s. This dormer bungalow sits on .42 acres and also has a garage further down the drive, to the side. The rooms inside comprise a kitchen with a dining area, a conservatory as well as all of the bedrooms, a family bathroom and a shower room.
The property is close to the centre of the seaside town of Tramore, so everything a family needs is near by and the beach is just a walk away.
Another home in Tramore, this house called Renarde stands behind gates and is surrounded by lawns. The driveway has plenty of parking along with an attached garage. Inside spans 225 m² and is made up of an entrance porch and hallway that leads to two reception rooms with stoves that then open to the kitchen, dining room and conservatory. One of the five bedrooms is on the ground floor and is currently a home office. A downstairs toilet, a utility room with access to the garage finish off the ground floor.
The four remaining bedrooms and a family bathroom sit upstairs. Each bedroom has fitted wardrobes while the main bedroom has an en suite bathroom that even has a sauna. This is a cosy home with a BER of C3.
Braclyn The Village is another home close to Cheekpoint village and has great river views. With a floor space of 268 m², the house comprises a hallway that leads to three living room and the kitchen and dining room. There’s also a downstairs toilet, a utility room, a home office and a games room on the same floor. A gym with a door to the back patio and gardens adds to the luxury of this large home. The main bedroom, upstairs, has two walk-in wardrobes and a double sink in the en suite bathroom. The three remaining bedrooms all have built-in wardrobes and share the family bathroom.
This is a modern and cosy home with a B3 BER in a great location. Waterford city, Woodstown and Dunmore East are all just a short drive away.
