LONGFORD WOMAN MAURA Higgins created quite the stir at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles last night.
The former Love Island star turned heads once again, as she graced the red carpet in a classic Hollywood look.
Higgins (35) is a contestant on season 4 of The Traitors US, which is currently airing.
She’s making the most of being stateside, and the Golden Globes is the latest high-profile event she’s attended.
On the carpet, she wore a figure-hugging black floor-length gown with dramatic gold shawl designed by Egyptian designer MarMar Halim. According to the designer’s website, the dress cost €2,551.
Her wavy bob evoked old Hollywood.
Americans reacted to the look online, with comments saying that Higgins “ate that” and “stood out” among the other stars.
Higgins had been relatively unknown to viewers of The Traitors US, but has quickly made her mark in the castle.
In an interview with Extra TV, she said being a contestant was “really tough”.
“I found it difficult, only because I had never watched the show, so I went in there blind.
“I genuinely thought it was going to be an easy show, and then I got quite a shock.”
Asked if she’s a good liar, Higgins said: “I will lie about anything when I have to.”
Higgins wasn’t the only one stunning last night.
Jennifer Lawrence, who was up against Jessie Buckley for best female actor, stepped out in an ethereal sheer dress with floral detailing.
Following the sheer theme, Jennifer Lopez opted for a skin-tight fishtail gown.
Best female actor winner Jessie Buckley, from Kerry, wore a baby blue Dior gown.
Amanda Seyfried, who had two nominations for The Testament of Ann Lee, wore Versace. The white draped dress reportedly took 400 hours to make.
Sinners star Wunmi Mosaku brought energy to the carpet in a bright yellow dress, revealing her pregnancy.
While most men in attendance went for a more simplistic tux, some managed to add some flair. Owen Cooper (16), who won best supporting actor (drama), wore Bottega Veneta.
Another young star, Bella Ramsey (22), put a twist on the basic suit, adding a pink bow.
