‘Significant number’ of guns found in wooded area of Co Cork following reports of illegal dumping

No arrests have been made at this time.

GARDAÍ RECOVERED A “significant number of firearms” from a wooded area of Co Cork this morning.

Gardaí attached to Watergrasshill Garda Station conducted a search of the wooded area at Templemichael as part of ongoing investigations into reports of illegal dumping at the location.

During the search, a significant number of firearms were recovered and all firearms will now be subject to further technical and ballistic analysis.

No arrests have been made at this time and a garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
