STUDENT GRANT BODY SUSI is urging applicants to be careful about a fake email scam that’s attempting to get personal information from students.
SUSI say the email has been received by a number of people and claims that most applicant accounts have been suspended.
It says that applicants’ information needs to be resubmitted and then asks students to follow a link where they can enter update their information.
SUSI are warning applicants that this email is not from them and that the link does not connect them with their website.
The email bears the SUSI logo but the text of the email itself contains both spelling and grammatical errors.
SUSI says their application system is accessible through grantsonline.ie and that users will see the lock symbol beside the url to indicate their site’s authenticity.
