Watch: Thief hides under duvet as he burgles house

He didn’t quite manage to evade the CCTV cameras.

POLICE IN NEW Zealand have appealed for the public’s assistance in identifying a thief who was caught on camera while burgling a house.

The man hid under a child’s duvet in a bid to evade security cameras.

Police said the man burgled a house in Dannemora, a suburb of Auckland, on 20 March.

Sergeant John Roberts said the man covered himself with a duvet and crawled around the house stealing a number of items including cash and jewellery.

The man is described as a Caucasian aged in his 20s and of slim build.
