Patrick Hutch Junior charged with murder of David Byrne at Regency Hotel

In total, four men have been arrested as part of this murder investigation.

A MAN HAS been charged in relation to the murder of David Byrne at the Regency Hotel in February.

24-year-old Patrick Hutch Junior, with an address at Champions Avenue in north Dublin, appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice this evening. Hutch is the younger brother of Gary Hutch, who was shot dead in Spain last year.

He was arrested on 13 May and was charged at Ballymun Garda Station. Detective Garda Mick Mulligan told the court Hutch made no reply to the charge.

Hutch was dressed in a grey tracksuit and runners.

He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Cloverhill District Court on 25 May.

Gardaí have arrested four people in total in relation to the shooting dead of the Kinahan gang associate.

This afternoon, a man in his mid 50s was arrested and detained at Raheny Garda Station under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act. 2007.

Yesterday evening, gardaí arrested two men, who are aged in their 50s and 30s. They are being detained at Swords and Clontarf garda stations.

Byrne was shot dead during a boxing match weigh-in at the Regency Hotel. The shooting was part of an ongoing feud between the Kinahan and Hutch gangs.
