Two men arrested after €1.25m of cannabis seized in separate operations in Dublin and Limerick

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested after around €1.25 million worth of cannabis was seized in separate operations in Dublin and Limerick today.

The joint seizures by gardaí and Revenue officers came as part of an intelligence-led operation.

Around 20kg of suspected herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €400,000 was seized in west Dublin.

In a follow-up search by gardaí, a further 20kg of suspected herbal cannabis was also seized.

A man in his 30s was arrested and is currently detained in a garda station in Dublin.

Separately, gardaí and Revenue officers in Limerick seized around 22.5kg of suspected herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €450,000 was seized.

A man, also aged in his 30s, was arrested in connection with this seizure and is currently detained in a garda station in Co Limerick.

Investigations into these seizures are ongoing.
