Two men arrested over Cork stabbing

The men, one in his 50s and the other in his 30s, were arrested after a man was found unconscious on a roadside in Cork city yesterday afternoon.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested over a stabbing in Cork city which left one man seriously injured.

Gardaí investigating the assault arrested two men, one in his early 50s and one in his late 30s, in Cork last night. The men are being held at Mayfield and Gurranabraher Garda Stations.

The victim, who is in his early 30s, was found unconscious on the roadside at Kerryhall Road in Fairhill on Friday afternoon. He is being treated for his injuries in Cork University Hospital

The men are being held under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
