Today is going to be hot with temperatures climbing as high as 24°C

It will be cloudy this morning but there will be good sunshine in the afternoon and evening.

BE SURE TO wear light clothes wherever you’re going today, because temperatures are set to go well into the 20s.

Met Éireann is forecasting temperatures as high as 24 degrees in some areas. With about 21 degrees the average across the country.

Early mist is set to clear leaving a dry, warm day.

There is a thick cloud cover hanging above Dublin this morning, making the air heavy and humid.

Met Éireann said it will remain quite cloudy above many areas this morning but there will be good sunny spells also.

The best weather will be in the afternoon and evening, with inland areas getting the warmest temperatures.

Tonight will be dry across the country and very mild and humid. Lowest temperatures will be 10 to 13 degrees.

Tomorrow will be the peak of the good weather. Long spells of sunshine and very warm temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees. Things will become more unsettled on Friday, with the temperatures cooling over the weekend.
