Weird Wide Web: Anonymous chat rooms, an unusual umbrella and an iPod for dogs

All of your essential tech and social media news for the week in one byte-sized portion.

WELCOME TO THE Weird Wide Web – where we take a look at the week’s best offerings in tech and social media news.

Chat room app of the week

Facebook launched an anonymous chat room app this week, which allows you to talk about just about anything and no one will ever know it’s you.

Share the burden option of the week

Spotify’s announced a new service which lets premium users add five separate accounts to their monthly bill so they can split it between friends or family. Thousands of future family arguments avoided.

Nervous pet remedy of the week

If your dog suffers from anxiety (don’t scoff, pet skeptics it’s a real thing), this iPod for dogs is just the thing. According to Mashable, the device plays music that is specifically designed to soothe nervous pooches.

THROUGH A DOG'S EAR THROUGH A DOG'S EAR

Air Umbrella Air Umbrella

Security tool of the week

Did the designer(s) of the air umbrella consider the fact that umbrellas are also used as shading devices in hotter parts of the world?

Did the umbrella guys also consider the fact that umbrellas block the wind and on a windy day the rain doesn’t just fall straight down? And also, umbrellas are great because they don’t need batteries.
