Price Comparison: What can I buy in Co Wicklow for under €600k?

From a family home in Delgany to a two-bed apartment in Bray.

Every week, we pick four homes within a similar budget, to give you the best idea of the property landscape at a particular price point.

This week, we’re looking at properties in Co. Wicklow, which will leave you change from €600,000.

From a family home in Delgany to a two-bed apartment in Bray, here’s what’s on offer.

Three-bed, semi-detached, Delgany – €580,000

4 Archer’s Wood Drive is a 126 m² family home in the village of Delgany, close to Greystones. Ready to walk into, the ground floor comprises a living room with a pretty herringbone floor, a kitchen filled with modern appliances, a handy utility room and guest toilet. All three bedrooms are upstairs along with a family bathroom. The main bedroom has its own. The double bedrooms have fitted wardrobes. 

The back garden faces south, and so gets lots of natural light. It’s home to a new garden shed and is accessed from the kitchen and also the side.  A paved patio area allows for outdoor entertaining. Greystones train station is just minutes walk away keeping you well connected to the city if needed.

Four-bed, detached, Wicklow Town – €550,000

Waverley is a large four-bed in Wicklow Town that spans 182 m². Inside comprises a welcoming hall covered in porcelain tiles and gallery style landing that links to the open plan kitchen with dining space and doors to the back garden. There is also a handy separate pantry and a utility room both with plenty of storage.  One of the bedrooms, the largest, is on the ground floor with its own bathroom and built-in wardrobes. Upstairs, the other bedrooms share the family bathroom. 

Outside, there is parking for up to two cars and the house is protected by electric gates. The garden surrounding the house is well established and filled with hedging, shrubs and trees. Three-bed, semi-detached, Arklow – €289,000

47 Woodlands Park is a 101 m², bright and spacious home that looks over a green. It’s part of an estate called Woodlands in the village of Arklow, which is rural yet well-connected. Simply decorated throughout, it’s ready to walk into. The heating system has been upgraded and made more energy efficient recently, so costs are lower. Adecco linear radiators and an instant hot water system has also been added. 

With its own garden to the back, as well as the communal space to the front, the house offers privacy and a sense of community in one. The rooms inside comprise a living room, an open plan kitchen with a dining space and a guest toilet, all on the ground floor. Three bedrooms, the main with its own bathroom, sit upstairs. The remaining two bedrooms share the family bathroom.

Two-bed, apartment, Bray – €450,000

Apartment 28 is a nicely-sizes two-bed with a floor area of 78 m² and is A-rated. Part of a gated development called Strand View, it looks on to Bray promenade, so great sea views are a guarantee. Inside comprises two large double bedrooms with the main bedroom benefitting from its own bathroom. The living space is large and open plan with sliding doors that open onto a large balcony that faces south and west.

Close to everything Bray has to offer, including the DART line, the apartment will let you take advantage of the city as well as the Wicklow countryside. It also has its own underground car parking space.
