A body of a man has been found in a field in Kildare

Gardaí suspect the man died in violent circumstances.

A BODY HAS been found in a field in Kildare and gardaí say they are investigating all circumstances around the grim discovery.

The victim was discovered in Cornamucklagh in Broadford shortly before 3.30pm today.

He has yet to be identified.

The body has been removed to the Mortuary at Naas General Hospital. A full post-mortem examination is set to take place tomorrow morning.

The scene is currently the subject of a Garda technical examination.
