Three men charged with dissident republican activity in Cork

The three men, ranging in age from the mid-30s to their early 50s, were arrested on Thursday evening.

THREE MEN ARE due to appear before the Special Criminal Court this morning in connection with dissident republican activity in Cork.

The three men, ranging in age from the mid-30s to their early 50s, were arrested on Thursday evening in relation to on going investigations into illegal paramilitary activity in the Cork area.

They were were detained at Cobh and Midleton Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 and have now been charged.

The three men will appear before the Special Criminal Court, Criminal Courts of Justice at a special session at 10am this morning.
