Poll: Should driving be taught in schools?

Do we need to teach our kids how to drive?

A NEW INITIATIVE to encourage young people to drive safely was launched this week by eFlow, with the help of musician Bressie.

Students from secondary school have been asked to host an event about safe and responsible driving practices as part of the project.

Of the 190 people who died on Irish roads last year, the greatest number of fatalities were among those aged 16 to 25.

It got us thinking. Should we be doing more to ensure young people are taught to drive properly. Driving lessons are given to pupils in US High Schools. Should we do something similar here?

Today we ask: Should driving be taught in secondary school?

Poll Results:

Yes (6391)
No (1306)
I don't know (224)
