Further €36,000 discovered during investigation into money laundering

A woman was released without charge as part of the same operation last week.

GARDÁÍ HAVE SEIZED €36,000 in cash as part of an on-going investigation into drug dealing and money laundering in Cork city.

The cash was found during a search of a house at Kerryhall Road in Fairhill, carried out around midday today.

No arrests were made.

A woman in her 30s was arrested last Friday as part of the same investigation, after gardaí seized an amount of cash at a house in Cork.

A small amount of drugs were also seized in this previous raid.

The woman was released without charge, and a file prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
