Gardaí investigating Cork murder find €30k in cash

Darren Falsey, 36, was found shot dead at his rented home in Carrigaline, Co Cork, last week.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING the murder of Darren Falsey in Co Cork last week have found a substantial quantity of cash at a premises he was renting, RTÉ reports.

Falsey, 36, was found dead at his home at Ashbourne Court in Carrigaline on Wednesday afternoon by his partner. He had suffered gunshot wounds.

Over €30,000 in cash was reportedly discovered at a premises rented by Falsey and gardaí are now investigating whether the money was related to his death.

Gardaí have been investigating the possibility that Falsey may have been watched by his killer, or killers, for some time before being shot at least three times.
