‘Hundreds’ of jobs expected to be created in Galway call centre
The Galway call centre will offer customer support for online gamers.
AN ONLINE GAMES company is expected to create hundreds of jobs in the next few years by setting up a customer care centre in Galway.
The centre will be set up by ZeniMax Online Studios to offer support to online gamers. “Today’s announcement marks an important step for us,” said Matt Firor, president of ZeniMax Online Studios. “We are excited to be building an experienced team… which will focus on providing superior customer support for our games.”
The centre will be overseen by Rich Barham who, prior to joining ZeniMax Online, was a major contributor to the management of in-game support needs, customer care, and retention for the phenomenally popular online role-playing game World of Warcraft.
Minister for Enterprise, Jobs and Innovation Richard Bruton described ZeniMax as a “very important addition” to the games industry in Ireland.
