Irish tourist dies in Turkey

AN IRISH MAN has drowned while on holiday in Turkey.

The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that an incident occurred on Friday in which an Irish tourist died. It is providing consular assistance to the family of the deceased.

No other details about the circumstances of the death have been released.

The Irish Examiner reports that the man was from east Cork.
