Ivor Callely fined €150 for not displaying an NCT disc

The former Fianna Fáil politician appeared in Dublin District Court this afternoon and was given two months to pay the fine.

FORMER SENATOR IVOR Callely has been fined €150 in the Dublin District Court for not displaying a valid NCT disc.

The former Fianna Fáil politician appeared in court this afternoon before Judge Bridget Reilly. Callely had been stopped by gardaí at Springdale Road in Raheny on Dublin’s northside in July of last year when it was discovered that a valid NCT disc was not displayed on his vehicle, in breach of the Road Traffic Act.

Callely, who resigned the Fianna Fáil party whip in 2010 after a controversy over his expenses in the Seanad, was given two months to pay the fine of €150.
