Man arrested over shots fired at Alan Ryan’s paramilitary funeral

Gardaí investigating the discharge of firearms on September 8 arrested a man in his 40s this afternoon.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a man in his 40s over the discharge of firearms at the paramilitary funeral of the Real IRA member Alan Ryan in Dublin two months ago.

The man was arrested in Dublin this morning and is being detained by Gardaí under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act 1939.

Several gunshots were fired in a paramilitary salute at Ryan’s funeral in Donaghmede on September 8.

Over 20 people have been arrested over the displays at Ryan’s funeral.
