Man (20s) in critical condition after single-vehicle crash in Co Donegal

The crash happened on the R238 at Ardmore, Muff at around 9.45pm on Saturday.

A MAN IN his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital following a serious single-vehicle crash in Co Donegal. 

The crash happened on the R238 at Ardmore, Muff at around 9.45pm on Saturday. 

The man, who was the driver and only occupant of the car, was taken by ambulance to Altnagelven Hospital in Derry, where he remains in critical condition.

The road remains closed and the scene will be examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Diversions are in place on the R238 from Muff Village via Iskaheen coming back out on the R238 at the Carmen Inn.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.

They are particularly appealing to anyone who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, and who was travelling on the R238 at Ardmore between 9.30pm and 10pm to make this footage available to them.
