Man killed after serious assault in Tallaght

No one has been arrested yet.

A MAN HAS been killed after an assault in Tallaght this evening.

The incident took place at Avonbeg Gardens at about 5.30pm.

Gardaí said the man in his 40s was seriously assaulted and taken to Tallaght Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The scene is currently preserved. No arrests have been made.

Investigating gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact the incident room at Tallaght Garda Station on 01-666 6000, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
