Mayo man killed in Australian car crash

Kevin Moran was in his early 30s.

A MAYO MAN has been killed in a car crash in Australia.

The Mayo News reports that Kevin Moran, a former rugby and football player, died in a road accident on Friday.

Moran, who was in his early 30s and from Mulranny, had been living in Australia.

He played rugby with Connacht and the Westport Bulls.

He also played football with Achill Rovers, which released a statement sending its “deepest condolences” to Moran’s family and friends.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed it is providing consular assistance.
