Woman arrested for telling neighbour "your children look delicious"

She says the children were leaving things on her porch.

A WOMAN IN the US state of Minnesota has been arrested after allegedly leaving her neighbours a note saying that their children “look delicious”.

38-year-old Carrie Pernula was arrested last Friday for allegedly sending neighbours anonymous threats.

The first note, which arrived in September read:

“The children look delicious. May I have a taste?”

The family posted the note on a community Facebook and alerted the police. They were then signed up to magazine subscriptions, which had threatening address labels on them.

“Instead of a name on the address label it said things like ‘tasty children’ along those lines,” Champlin Deputy Police Chief Ty Schmidt told local station WCCO.

Police traced the magazines and arrested Pernula, who admitted sending the threats.

“She was angry because the kids were leaving things in her yard and I think being a little noisy, being kids, the way kids are.

“In this case they went way beyond the bounds of what should be done.”

Locals say that word of the threats spread through social media and that they feared for their children.
