SEAN QUINN JUNIOR has been released from Mountjoy Prison after the High Court heard his three-month sentence for contempt of court had expired.

He left the Four Courts with his wife Karen Woods this morning.

Earlier, the court heard that Seán Quinn had done nothing to purge his contempt of court but new lawyers for former billionaire have been given 13 days to examine the case against both men.

According to RTÉ News, Justice Elizabeth Dunne said it was the job of the prison authorities to decide on Quinn Jr’s release date. A short time after the hearing he was released.
