A 33-year-old man from Omagh has been charged with a number of terrorism offences.

A 33-YEAR-OLD MAN from Omagh has been charged with terrorist offences by police investigating the death of PSNI officer Ronan Kerr, 25, who was killed three weeks ago.

The offences include possession of explosives, firearms and articles likely to be of use to terrorists, the BBC reports, and he is due to appear in court tomorrow.

Constable Kerr was killed when a device exploded beneath his car as he left his home in Omagh on 2 April.

Two other men arrested in connection with his death were released without charge earlier this week.
