FINE GAEL’S NATIONAL Executive will meet this evening to determine it’s next steps in choosing a presidential candidate following the shock announcement last week from Mairead McGuinness.
Two people within the party have said they are considering throwing their name in the ring to be the party’s presidential candidate: Heather Humphreys and Seán Kelly.
Both had previously ruled themselves out, but as McGuinness has had to withdraw from the race on health grounds, Humphreys, a former minister who had retired from politics, and current MEP, Kelly, have said they are seriously considering taking a shot at the top job in the Áras.
We want to know what you think: Between Heather Humphreys and Sean Kelly, who would you like to see as the FG presidential candidate?
