Town's Santa learns sign language so he can speak to little girl who is deaf

Santa, what a guy.

A POLICE CHIEF in the states made a little girl’s Christmas by learning sign language so he could talk to her even though she is deaf.

Massachusetts cop Salvatore Albert secretly took lessons from six-year-old Sadie Adams’ mother so he could not only understand the little girl, but also talk back to her.

Little Sadie was blown away when Santa asked her what she would like for Christmas, and her wish of ‘a kitchen and a baby’.

Sadie’s mother told SBS it was well worth the effort.

She literally stopped dead in her tracks and she just stared at him. I felt like I was going to tear up also.

Albert said Sadie was in awe when he started signing, saying “she stopped, her eyes were bright, wide open and then I said Merry Christmas”

Delivering presents all over the world in one night, growing that epic beard, and now sign language? What a skill set.

When we got our first computer in school in the 80s, the head master said to us; “A computer is only a television screen with a typewriter attached onto to it. Don’t be a bit afraid of it lads. It won’t bite.”

@Vonvonic: I was told in the late 90′s in our secondary school in Edenderry that they were only a fad & wouldn’t catch on. Don’t bother with them & get some homework done during the class instead….

It’s when I see articles like this that I’m tempted to shout “Use Linux!”. This may not be an operating system problem, though.

As required, we reported the data breach we didn’t have. Makes total sense.

If every vulnerability is to be reported to the DPC they’re going to need a much bigger office. Perhaps this was less ‘vulnerability’ and more ‘we left shedloads of sensitive data where it could be read by anyone, but fingers crossed nobody did’

Time for a separate intelligence service.

Garda policing combined with intelligence service, marks Ireland an outlier in the World.
