Gardaí arrest man with sawn off shotgun after chasing him through gardens in Dublin

The 41-year-old was spotted acting suspiciously in the Ballygall area of Finglas yesterday.

GARDAÍ IN FINGLAS have arrested a man in his 40s, who had a sawn off shotgun, after chasing him through a number of gardens in the Ballygall area.

Yesterday afternoon, the 41-year-old was spotted “acting suspiciously” in the area who then fled from gardaí.

They pursued him through a number of gardens before arresting him, and seizing the shotgun and some ammunition.

He is currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

The operation was carried out by the Special Crime Task Force and Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
