Ten arrested after major Munster crime clampdown

Ten people are arrested following coordinated raids in the south, south-east and west of the country.

TEN MEN HAVE been arrested following a series of coordinated Garda raids in the west, south and south-east of the country this morning.

The officers, assisted by the Criminal Assets Bureau and the regional support units, conducted the searches this morning.

A large amount of cash was also seized in the raids.

The men are all being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.

They are being held at Henry Street, Roxboro Road and Bruff stations in county Limerick; Shannon in Co Clare; Mallow in Co Cork; Nenagh and Clonmel in Tipperary, and Dungarvan in Co Waterford.
