The Irish Food Safety Authority has issued a product recall over salmonella fears.

TESCO HAS RECALLED its five-pack of ‘Free From Belgian chocolate wafers’ due to the possible presence of salmonella.

The recall affects all date codes of the product.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued a product recall. It says the action is being taken “as a precautionary measure”.

A spokesperson for Tesco Ireland said, “We have recalled our Tesco Free From Belgian Chocolate Wafer product after a potential Salmonella contamination issue was discovered at the factory where the product is produced.

“Whilst we have no evidence to suggest Tesco products have been contaminated, we have recalled the product as a precautionary measure.”
