Two men arrested after man found dead at Carlow house

A second man was found with serious injuries at the house in Tullow.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested in connection with the discovery of the body of a man in his 30s in Tullow, Co. Carlow this morning.

The man’s body was found after gardaí were called to the house at Graigowen shortly after 9am.

A second man was also found at the house with serious injuries and he has been taken to St. Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny.

The two arrests were made this afternoon and both men are being detained at Tullow Garda Station where they can be held for up to 24 hours.

Gardaí remain at the scene which has been preserved pending a technical examination.

The man’s body has been removed and a post-mortem is due to be carried out by Professor Marie Cassidy at the mortuary in Waterford Hospital this evening.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.

They are specifically asking to hear from any residents of or visitors to the Graigowen, Gortnahowen or Slaney View Drive housing estates in Tullow who may have seen or heard anything between last night and this morning (16 September).

Investigations are ongoing.
