'I hate myself' - Mike Tyson candidly discusses his struggles with drugs and alcohol

“I haven’t drank or took drugs in six days,” he said.

FORMER WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT boxing champion Mike Tyson gave a candid interview ahead of his debut as a promoter last night, saying: “I hate myself.”

Tyson also claimed he was “close to death” and gave some brutally honest insights into his struggles with drugs and alcohol.

“I’m a bad guy sometimes. I did a lot of bad things, I want to be forgiven,” he told ESPN’s ‘Friday Night Fights’.

“I haven’t drank or took drugs in six days, and for me that’s a miracle.

“I’ve been lying to everybody that thinks I was sober, but I’m not. This is my sixth day. I’m never going to use again.”
