DID YOU HAVE plans to head to the beach today, well cancel them.
Met Eireann has issued a yellow weather warning today, forecasting at least 25 to 35 millimetres of rain.
The warning is valid until 3pm, when we are hoping the clouds will clear and the sun will shine (let’s not get our hopes up).
When it looks like this outside at the end of July we have the right to feel a little miffed.
It’s already ruined any plans for climbers heading up Croagh Patrick today.
So, is it a day for box sets?
Met Eireann says a spell of heavy rain will move northeastwards across Ireland on but should clear on this morning or early afternoon. However it will continue for much of the day in the north.
While there will be spells of sunshine in the afternoon, there will also be heavy showers into the evening.
Top temperature of 12 to 15 degrees in the north, with higher temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees elsewhere.
Seriously though, where is the summer?
